Accident Recovery & Towing Sydney
On-scene fast. We work directly with your insurer, handle police liaison, winch recovery, and deliver your vehicle to your chosen repairer — 24/7.
Calm, Fast Help When You Need It Most
An accident is stressful enough without having to coordinate a tow truck on top of everything else. When you call Opal Towing, we handle the logistics — you focus on making sure everyone is safe and speaking to the relevant authorities.
We respond to accident scenes across Sydney 24/7. Our drivers are experienced at working alongside police and emergency services, and we know how to load and secure crash-damaged vehicles safely without causing additional damage to what’s already there.
We work directly with all major Australian insurance companies. If you have an insurance authorisation number, we can bill the insurer directly — no out-of-pocket cost for the tow. If you’re uninsured or at-fault without cover, we provide a firm quote and accept all major payment methods on delivery.
After the tow, we deliver your vehicle to your nominated repairer, your insurer’s preferred panel shop, or a secure holding yard pending assessment.

We reach most Sydney accident scenes within 30–40 minutes of your call, any time of day or night.

Accident Towing Questions
Call us first if you need the vehicle moved urgently — especially if it’s blocking traffic or a safety risk. We can be dispatched immediately while you or your passengers call the insurer. Once you have a claim number and authorisation, pass it to our driver and we’ll bill the insurer directly. If the scene is safe and time allows, call your insurer first to get the authorisation number before we arrive.
Yes, provided your insurer has issued a towing authorisation number. You give that number to our driver and we invoice the insurer directly. Your excess is between you and the insurer — the tow itself should be covered under your comprehensive policy. If you’re unsure, call us anyway and we’ll advise based on your situation.
If your insurer has declared or is likely to declare a total loss, they’ll provide instructions on where the vehicle should be delivered — typically a salvage yard or assessment centre. We’ll transport it there under the insurance authority. If you need short-term storage while the assessment is completed, we can hold the vehicle at a secure yard and liaise with the assessor directly.
Yes. Our trucks carry rated electric winches capable of extracting vehicles from ditches, embankments, median barriers and off-road situations. We assess the scene on arrival and use the safest recovery method — whether that’s a direct winch pull, a snatch block re-direct or bringing in additional equipment for more complex situations.
