For complex breakdowns — disabled on a freeway, rolled onto its side, or loaded with freight — we assess on-site and coordinate recovery using the most appropriate method including rotator cranes where required.

Our heavy equipment is rated for gross vehicle masses exceeding 20 tonnes. For very large loads — articulated B-doubles at full GCM or multiple-axle rigids — we assess on a job-by-job basis and can arrange additional support equipment including rotator cranes for overturned vehicles. Yes — freeway and motorway breakdowns are a significant part of our heavy vehicle work. Our operators are experienced at working in active traffic environments, and we carry the required traffic management equipment. We’ll coordinate with TfNSW and the relevant road authority as needed to ensure the safe recovery of your vehicle.

In most cases we disconnect the prime mover from the trailer and recover each separately for safe and legal transport. For short recoveries in certain circumstances, the combination can sometimes be towed as a unit — our operator will assess on-site and advise the safest approach.
