Yes. All vehicles transported by Opal Towing interstate are covered by our goods-in-transit insurance policy for their full market value throughout the journey. In the extremely unlikely event of damage occurring during transport, we manage the claim process directly. We recommend you also confirm with your own comprehensive insurer that your policy covers transit — most do, at no additional cost.

Yes. Motorcycles are transported on the flatbed deck using dedicated wheel chocks and frame tie-downs. They travel secured upright and covered where possible. We prefer 24–48 hours notice for interstate bookings to schedule your vehicle on the next appropriate run. Same-day interstate bookings are occasionally possible when capacity allows — call and we’ll check immediately. For time-sensitive moves (auction deadlines, interstate settlement dates) call as early as possible and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

For pickup, someone needs to hand over the keys and sign the condition report — this can be you, a neighbour, a dealer or any authorised person. For delivery, someone at the destination needs to accept the vehicle and sign the delivery docket. If no one is available at either end, we can discuss alternative arrangements including key lockbox or depot collection on a case-by-case basis.
