Our Story
Opal Towing started in 2017 with a single flatbed truck, a Belmore base and a straightforward promise: answer every call, quote honestly, and never leave a driver stranded longer than necessary. Nine years and over 12,500 vehicles later, that promise hasn’t changed.
We grew up in the Canterbury-Bankstown area and we know these streets — the clearway schedules on Canterbury Road, the access routes around Bankstown airport, the tight laneways off Campsie’s shopping strip. That local knowledge is part of what makes our response times genuinely fast, not just promised-fast.
Over the years we’ve expanded our fleet to handle everything from prestige sports cars on flatbeds to 20-tonne semi-trailers to permit-managed excavator moves across NSW. Every driver on our team holds the required NSW Tow Truck Authority licence and goes through our own induction for safe vehicle loading, customer communication and roadside safety.
We’re not a call centre. When you ring 0423 242 242, you speak to someone who can actually dispatch a truck; not a booking queue, not a chatbot. That’s how it’s always been and that’s how it’ll stay.
Our standard operating hours are Monday to Saturday, 8:00am to 6:00pm in winter and 6:00am to 8:00pm in summer. After-hours and Sunday towing is available on request at a 30% surcharge on the base labour rate. We’re upfront about this because honest pricing is part of who we are.

We operate out of Belmore, NSW 2192 — in the heart of the Canterbury-Bankstown area. Our depot location means we reach most of the inner-west, south Sydney and western Sydney within 30–40 minutes. For Belmore, Campsie, Lakemba and Canterbury we’re typically on-scene in 15–25 minutes.
Yes. Every driver on our team holds a current NSW Tow Truck Authority licence issued under the Passenger Transport Act 2014. Licence numbers are displayed on our vehicles as required by Transport for NSW. We also carry public liability and goods-in-transit insurance on every job — if something unexpected happens, you’re covered.
Standard hours are Monday to Saturday, 8:00am–6:00pm in winter and 6:00am–8:00pm in summer. After-hours and Sunday towing is available on request; call 0423 242 242 to confirm availability. A 30% surcharge applies to jobs outside standard hours. We’re always upfront about this before dispatch.
